Dan was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD, and graduated from the University of Maryland in '76 with a degree in music/piano. After graduating, he stayed in Silver Spring and married his college sweetheart. They've been happily married for 37 years and have 2 children and 7 grandchildren. He's performed locally as a pianist and group performer since 1973 - performing on stage over 1000 times!

Dan ventured into real estate by first owning and operating a contracting business for 20 years. He worked for many of the builders (Ryan, Winchester, Richmond American, NV Homes) for over 5 years. He was involved in historical restoration at the Smithsonian Institutions and various other well-known museums in Washington. Dan was also immersed in remodeling projects over the years in homes up to 150 years old; he's familiar with construction practices throughout many decades. With all of this knowledge, he's been in real estate for 15 years.

He's licensed in both Maryland and DC and is an associate broker in Maryland, and has earned the coveted National Association of Realtors GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation. He's worked as both a listing and a buyer's agent in many residential sales. His background in renovation and restoration has helped him tremendously in real estate. He's familiar with building designs, blueprints, systems, types of constructions, and much more.

In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, watching the Washington Nationals, playing jazz piano duets with his wife at home, and helping those less fortunate by volunteering his various contracting skills to those in need.
