Please join Widow Care at their 2^nd annual 5K on Saturday, October 17^th. This year, it will take place at the beautiful grounds of 301 Odenhal Avenue in Gaithersburg, MD. Participants will enjoy live music and one another as they support widows and widowers!

The race begins at 8:30 am. The awards ceremony will take place at 9:30 am. The race will be officially timed and prizes will be given to the top 3 finishers.

Mission of Widow Care

Before Eric Stewart started his successful 27-year career in real estate, he studied acting. Around 1987, he memorized several books from the Talmud and the New Testament. In James 1:27 it says that pure religion is to look after widows and orphans in their distress.

After many years of consideration, in 2013, Eric decided to create an organization to fulfill the unmet needs of widowed individuals through a support network of volunteers and community resources. Later that year, Widow Care became a 501(c)3 non-profit and continues to provide desperately needed support services to widows/widowers facing or dealing with the loss of a spouse, so they can become empowered to carry on with their lives.
