What Happens When an Appraisal Comes in too Low During the Sale of your Home? – Secrets from the Eric Stewart Show

How Much is Your Property Worth? written on chalkboard.jpeg

We had a home for which we got a fantastic price. In fact, compared to the comps in the neighborhood it sold for $75-$80 thousand above the other listings! Our clients absolutely loved us. Pros & Cons: Selling As Is

Selling Your Home As Is: Pros, Cons, & Reasons Why You Might Sell Your Home As Is

Wouldn’t it be nice to not have to do any work on your home before you sell it? Eric Stewart goes over the pros and cons of selling your home “as is.”

3 Reasons You Would Sell Your Home As Is

  1. You don’t have the emotional or financial capability of doing improvements – This is okay. There are companies that will do the work for you and accept payment at settlement. Some real estate agents know the people to call.
  2. The land underneath your property is worth more – In this event, someone will simply take your house down, not caring about the condition of the property.
  3. The integrity of your house is outdated – It doesn’t make sense to add bandaids to some things in the house, if you don’t change everything in the house.

ES-Sellers-Bidding-War-Blog.jpgI had a house listed on the MLS priced at $600,000 that was not selling. The sellers had vacated the property, and we had lots of traffic through, but nobody was making an offer. My client and I sat down and looked at what had happened. A couple of homes had sold around us that settled, which showed us that the market actually was around $570,000 for the property. Are Open Houses Overrated?
